(POC) History

Power of Christ Full Gospel Ministries, Inc. (POC) is a tax-exempt church Inc. on September 3, 2002, as a religion Non- stock corporation in the State of Maryland. The organization is an Integrated Auxiliary of the State of Maryland on the IRC Section 501c (3) as a tax-exempt entity under section 509(a)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code under Group Exemptions. Power Christ will operate as a School, Christian Academy, Day care, Learning Center and Banquet and Event Facility.

Birthing of A Ministry- June 21,2002

This ministry was birthed under the Full Gospel and Praise, Covenant, Interdenominational Fellowship (PCIF) label with the help of Pastor, now Bishop Thorne of the Charity Community Church of God at 3208 Frederick Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229. 

Power of Christ Ministries (POC) began its ministry on October 6, 2002 In Baltimore City. We had our beginnings at May E. Rodman Recreation Center. Then we moved to 2518 Frederick Ave after three years stay at the center and remained there for 10 years.

Our church began as a missional church to build and develop ministry to meet some of the concerns of the community. An initial congregation of 13 grew yearly even as partnership fluctuated from year-to-year. During this period, we were able to purchase three buildings including the Main Sanctuary. In 2016, we were able to pay off two of those buildings and sold them as we moved to our temporary location which is an auditorium at one of the local schools. (North Bend). We also had a weekly broadcast on the radio station (Heaven600) from 2016 through 2018, and a TV broadcast (Engage Network) that ran from 2012 through 2019, to spread the gospel.

The Power of Christ Full Gospel Ministries has moved to its main location to 1219 Delmont Road, in Serven Maryland in 2018. As a result of a fervent desire to see growth, both spiritually and numerically within the church, we have a more flexible and user-friendly environment for those within the church and the wider community as we continue to do ministry in the 21 century and beyond.
